Photo of the week #17 is this Little Egret in flight, I wasn't overwhelmed with great photos this week (poor weather and a lack of motivation to get out I'm afraid) hopefully next weeks will go better. Don't forget this post is now a Linky/Meme so please link up below.

    1. Thank you, he was actually trying to get away from an approaching dog coming up the path (only flew on to the nearby field).

  3. I didn't know so far that there are Little Egrets domestic in Britain. Here in Germany I've never seen this kind of heron in Germany in the wild. We have plenty of the Grey herons here in our river landscapes, but such a small white beauty - no!

    1. 25 or so years ago they were really rare over here, but they are becoming more and more common now, I recall twitching them years ago, now if I don't see one on my patch I'm disappointed.
