Photo of the Week #10

Common Redstart - Manor Farm, Milton Keynes
I love the simplicity of the photo and the fact it is one of my faviourite birds, and one that always sends a little thrill through me when I find one (not common but by no means rare). Even though it is almost fully silhouette I think you can still tell it is a Common Redstart.

There are many more great photos on my other blogs so please have a look around you might just be impressed! And don't forget you can follow my posts through various means listed on the right tool bar, I'd love to be able to share my posts, thoughts and photos with you again some time. And please feel free to share this with your friends.

  1. The detail is quite good for having so much back-light - nicely captured! Some birds are more easily identifiable by their silhouettes than others.

    1. Thank you, It was a bit more luck than judgement to get the detail, early evening light off to the right provided beautiful lighting, but it wasn't till I got home that I saw how well it had highlighted the bird.
