This photo was taken on Friday 4th July 2014 in Loughton Valley Park, Milton Keynes, while on one of my wildlife walks - A Short Walk Today.

  5. Nice little moth. I think I've seen this flying beauty several times here in Germany as well - but I didn't manage to take a picture of it so far! Thanks for sharing, Ashley!
    By the way: I've been to Milton Kenynes two or three times in the past. The company I work for has its British subsidiary in the commercial zone near Milton Keynes... ;-)

    1. They are a striking looking moth (although very similar to Narrow-bordered 5 spot Burnet). Milton Keynes is a nice town in many ways (lots of open areas etc.) and seems to be popular with multi national companies too :)
