Two Very Short Walks

Just a quick update (sorry no pics today either), I had two quick walks today, one this morning that encompassed taking my daughter to school then heading to the lake in the vain hope of a duck species other than Mallard (no chance). And one in the afternoon, this time a complete walk round the lake with Monty the dog, again hoping for a nice duck, or something passing on it's trip to roost, again nothing of real note, but here are the highlights.

Morning walk only birds of note were 2 Passing Lesser Black-Backed Gulls circling on their lazy trip over the estate of Great Holm.

Evening walk, again only gulls were of any note, this time a fast moving Greater Black-Backed Gull and a small flock of 7 Herring Gulls, all moving south over the lake, I presume heading for one of the local large roosts. As well as a nice pair of Little Grebe in the small pool that separates the two main lakes (one even gave me one of their delicate bubbling calls).

Please feel free to leave me a comment, I really appreciate the interaction and will reply as soon as I can.
